MADISON (WKOW) -- Residents got the chance to sound off - and learn more- about a proposed Madison lakefront park Saturday.
The first public meeting was held on a new park and 400-acre corridor plan along John Nolen Drive.
Some residents are concerned about increased traffic and noise that may come with the project.
Tim Metcalfe, the chairman of the Nolen Centennial Project Task Force, says the project is in its beginning stages.
The plan would increase access to the lake from Monona Terrace to the Beltline.
No word yet how the project will be funded; that's part of the reason this public meeting was held- to hear input about everything from funding to placement.
Metcalfe says more details will be decided as the plan moves forward.
