MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin officials are discussing moving the fall primary election.
Kevin Kennedy, director of the Government Accountability Board, says holding the primary on the second Tuesday in September makes it impossible to comply with a federal law, requiring states to mail ballots with federal races to members of the military and those overseas 45 days before November elections.
Kennedy says the second week of August may be too close to the November election to meet the deadline.
