Wis. Dems raise more money in two months than all of 2010
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Democratic Party of Wisconsin topped its 2010 fundraising total in just two months of 2011. The party filed a report Monday saying it raised $1.1 million in contributions from February 1 to March 21. That's about $250,000 more than it raised last year.
The report also says the party has transferred more than $300,000 to other committees in the last two months. Recall efforts
An aggressive fundraising campaign kicked off last month to support the Democrats effort to recall eight Republican state senators. The senators are targeted for their votes in support of the so-called budget repair bill, which strips most public employees of collective bargaining rights.
The Republican Party of Wisconsin has not yet filed its spring pre-election campaign finance report.
