MADISON (WKOW) -- Department of Administration Secretary Mike Huebsch says the Governor's biennial budget proposal is on track to be taken up by the Legislature April 5th.
Huebsch says talks continue with Republican legislative leaders on what exactly will be in the bill. He says that is why the final form hasn't been released yet.
Assembly and Senate leaders have said at the very least the bill will include the refinancing to plug $137 million budget gap projected by July 1.
That refinancing and other items were proposed but then removed from a bill passed earlier this month that dramatically curtails the union bargaining rights of most public workers.
