Regular walks help women increase blood flow to brain

Older women who took brisk walks three or four times per week for three months increased the blood flow to their brain by up to 15% while lowering their blood pressure and heart rates, according to a study from the Institute for Exercise and Environmental Medicine at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. The results may help explain the link between exercise and improved brain function, the researchers said.
