MEDFORD (WKOW)-- Communities in Wisconsin are coming together to rebuild after tornadoes swept through earlier this month.
In one city, a nine-year-old girl is leading the effort.
Jayda Meyer, a fourth grader in Medford, said she wanted to help when she heard about the tornado damage in Merrill.
So she started a penny drive.
Jayda and her mom decorated plastic tubs and took them to her school and local businesses.
No word on how much Jayda collected.
