Bin Laden death doesn't ease pain for Wisconsin woman
FOND DU LAC (ASSOCIATED PRESS) -- The mother of a Fond du Lac man killed when terrorists bombed the USS Cole in 2000 says the death of Osama bin Laden does not ease her pain.
U.S. Naval Petty Officer Marc Nieto was among 17 killed at a Yemen port. Bin Laden claimed credit, as well as for the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
Sharon Priepke of Eldorado told The Reporter (http://bit.ly/kssFkN) that she's grateful that servicemen and women finally found bin Laden. But she doesn't think she will ever feel a sense of closure because she never got to say goodbye to her son.
A "Salute to Armed Forces" exhibit at Blakely Museum in Fond du Lac will display his uniform, urn, medals and ribbons when it opens May 21.
