Sen. Cowles has democratic challenger in recall election
Sen. Robert Cowles
MADISON (WKOW) -- A former Brown County board member plans to run against longtime senator Robert Cowles in a recall election.
Rich Langan says he will run against the Green Bay lawmaker, who he calls a rubber stamp for Gov. Scott Walker. Langan says both Republicans have turned their backs on working people with their cuts to public school funding and health care.
Langan was a police officer for Ashwaubenon until 2000. He also worked as an aide to former U.S. Rep. Steve Kagan of Wisconsin and served briefly on the Brown County Board.
Cowles has held the District 2 seat for nearly 25 years and is seen as one of the safest GOP senators targeted for recall.
