MADISON (WKOW) -- It's a small neighborhood with a troubled history, but police and neighborhood leaders in Darbo-Worthington are working to change that. One picnic at a time.
Saturday was the 8th annual block party and picnic sponsored by the Worthington Park Neighborhood Association.
The event is designed to give people in the community a chance to get to know each other and the officers that patrol the neighborhood.
The 48-acre community has had a decades-long reputation for drug-trafficking and prostitution.
Police are hoping the event will build lasting relationships to help reduce crime.
