MADISON (WKOW) -- Devil's Lake State Park is celebrating its 100th anniversary this summer, including an event today (Saturday) with Gov. Scott Walker.
Walker and Department of Natural Resources Secretary Cathy Stepp plan to headline the event at the park that also involves past park superintendents, area business leaders and others.
Democratic state Rep. Brett Hulsey of Madison criticizes Walker's decision to go to the park, saying his policies are hurting the environment, threatening hunting and fishing habitat.
Devil's Lake is Wisconsin's largest state park and third oldest.
It is the state's most attended state park with 1.8 million visitors a year.
