RAYMOND, NH (WKOW)--U-S. Representative and Republican presidential candidate Michele Bachmann has begun her campaign with a series of verbal gaffes.
She campaigned in New Hampshire, one day after announcing her candidacy in Iowa.
Bachmann has made several misstatements lately, from saying the shot heard around the world happened in Concord, NH instead of Massachusetts, to mixing up the Iowa hometown of John Wayne the actor and the town where John Wayne Gacy the serial killer lived for a time.
And Tuesday morning, Bachmann got into a debate with George Stephanopolous, who challenged her on "Good Morning America" on her comments that America's founding fathers worked to end slavery.
After her stop in Raymond, Bachmann headed to another early primary state: South Carolina.
She's scheduled to return to New Hampshire next month.
