WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- A college degree may have high value on the job market, but it's also coming at a higher price.
For the first time ever, the Department of Education has released a list of colleges with the steepest tuition hikes.
By its count, tuition has surged more than 40 percent at some colleges in the last three years.
About 530 colleges nationwide with the steepest hikes are now being told to submit a report to the federal government, explaining the reason for the increase.
