Solid finish for Stricker at the British Open

(WKOW) Sandwich, England -  Edgerton's Steve Stricker wrapped up a solid Open Championship with a final round 71. He finished in a tie for 12th a +3, 8 shots behind winner Darren Clark of Northern Ireland. 

Clarke finished with a final round 70 to win at five-under par.  It's his first major title and he is the third player from Northern Ireland to win in the last six majors.  It also extends the drought for the US to six straight with an American major winner.
