Greg Jeschke raised more than $400 for the local chapter of The Links, Inc. at Saturday's Farmers' Market.
According to their website, The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of 12,000 professional women of color in 274 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.
Each week, a member of the WKOW staff sells coffee at the Steep & Brew stand at the Farmers' Market between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. with all the proceeds going to a charity of their choosing. If you're at the Farmers' Market on the Capitol Square, look for the stand and pick up a cup of coffee to help support those in need in your community.
