MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison College political science professor Dr. Maurice Sheppard stopped by the WKOW studio to offer some perspective on Tuesday night's recall elections.
Sheppard said despite the outcome of the elections, the recall efforts could energize the Democratic base in Wisconsin. He said that could lead to a bigger push to recall Gov. Scott Walker when he is eligible.
Sheppard also said it may be a bit too early to tell what the implications are for the 2012 presidential election. But Sheppard said campaigns can look at the tactics used and the money spent in Wisconsin as a way to determine how best to campaign in the state.
