MADISON (WKOW) – Sen. Jon Erpenbach (D-Middleton) said Friday "in all likelihood" he will run to fill U.S. Rep. Tammy Baldwin's seat if Baldwin decides to run for Senate.
Erpenbach announced his plans on Wisconsin Public Television's "Here and Now" during a satellite interview from Washington, D.C. He said his plans to run were part of the reason he was in D.C.
This is assuming, however, Baldwin runs for U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl's seat since he announced his retirement after serving four terms.
"We expect all of that to shake out over the next couple of weeks, but I'm taking a really close look," Erpenbach said.
