First listening session on Dane Co. budget tonight


MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County Executive Joe Parisi is holding the first of a series of listening sessions Monday on the 2012 county budget.

The focus is on human services Monday night at the Alliant Energy Center from 6-8 p.m. The public is invited to listen to an overview of the proposed budget and then give their input.

Human services make up more than 50 percent of Dane County's nearly $500 million budget.

Lysee Mitri will have more tonight on 27 News at 10.

Below are additional listening sessions scheduled this month.

Human Services:

  • Tuesday, September 13th 6-8 p.m. at the Alliant Energy Center  

General Budget:

  • Thursday September 15th 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Electronic Theatre Controls in Middleton
  • Monday, September 19th 6-8 p.m. at Stoughton Senior Center
