MADISON (WKOW) -- Tough times are even harder if you're without healthcare. That's why health care advocates want you to know about BadgerCare Plus.
The BadgerCare Plus Express ended its statewide tour Monday in Madison. The tour is put on by Wisconsin-based non-profit ABC for Health.
Though the "Basic Plan" and "Core Plan" of BadgerCare Plus have been frozen, coverage for children, families, and pregnant women is still available.
755,000 people rely on BadgerCare Plus, but more families could qualify.
ABC for Health representative Brynne McBride said, "We've had such a great response from families while traveling around the state- young families, some of them are in between jobs, some have just fallen on hard times- and we are hearing a lot of feedback that BadgerCare has been one of those safety net, lifesavers for them."
People looking to get under the plan do need to prove you are a Wisconsin resident, a U.S. citizen, your income is under a certain limit and you are in care of a child.
