UW Women's hockey team beats Minnesota


MADISON, Wis – Behind three first-period goals, the No. 1 University of Wisconsin women's hockey team down the No. 3 Minnesota Gophers 3-2 on Friday night at the Kohl Center. The win improves the Badgers unbeaten streak to 32 games, which ties the NCAA record which was set by Wisconsin back in 2007.

Carolyne Prévost scored the game-winner as she netted her second consecutive goal at the 17:55 mark of the first period. UW goaltender Alex Rigsby made 25 saves in the contest, including 12 in the third period to help cement the victory for the Badgers.
