
MADISON (WKOW) -- The "Bobbie Kelsey era" began Thursday night as the UW women's basketball team took down UW-Whitewater 70-54 in an exhibition game at the Kohl Center.
The first year head coach saw her team shoot 52 percent from the field, but turn the ball over 30 times in the victory.
The Badgers held the Warhawks to 28 percent shooting and had 15 steals in the game.
Wisconsin senior Ashley Thomas led all scorers with 17 points, hitting on six of seven shot attempts. The Badgers next take the court at the Kohl Center this Sunday at 1 p.m. against UW-Parkside in its final exhibition game.
