VERONA (WKOW) -- The Verona defense came up with a big sack on fourth down to seal a victory in Saturday's WIAA Div. 1 football quarterfinal matchup against Sun Prairie. The Wildcats won 17-14 to advance to the state semi-final against Kenosha Bradford.
In Division 2, Waunakee advanced with a 17-7 win over rival DeForest, continuing their quest for a third straight state championship.
