Madison, WI (WKOW-TV)-
This Saturday it's the battle for Paul Bunyan's axe as the Badgers travel to Minnesota. Wisconsin is hoping to continue to see improved play out of James White. Coming off a great freshman season, White's sophomore season hasn't exactly been a slump -- but it hasn't been as flashy as last year.
White is averaging just over 58 yards per game. He's only scored six touchdowns but he did have two last Saturday against the Boilermakers -- something that coach Bielema was happy to see.
"What we wanted to do on Saturday was to get James some opportunities for him to get into the endzone and get that feeling back," said Bielema. "Not really script anything. I know that was an important thing and for us to get James in the endzone i thought that was really good."
The Badgers and Gophers kickoff Saturday at 2:30.
