MADISON (WKOW) -- Those behind a Madison charter school are working to make their point, before the school board takes up the issue at the end of the month.
The Urban League of Greater Madison hosted a public forum Wednesday night, all about the Madison Preparatory Academy: a boys and a girls school designed to bridge the achievement gap in Madison students.
They invited school board members and the public to a question and answer session, also bringing in the president of non-profit National Association of Charter School Authorizers, Greg Richmond, to share insight into the charter school process.
The Urban League has submitted a business plan to the district for analysis. The school board is scheduled to take up the issue on November 28.
