MINNEAPOLIS (WKOW) -- The Badgers are bringing home the Paul Bunyan axe from Minnesota once again.
Montee Ball broke the Big Ten's single-season touchdown record and 16th-ranked Wisconsin trampled Minnesota 42-13 to keep Paul Bunyan's Axe for the eighth straight year -- and stay in the conference title chase.
Russell Wilson had a season-high four touchdown passes. He was on target with every throw and every decision, connecting on all but his last throw, a deep ball that Nick Toon had in his hands but let trickle out as he hit the turf hard midway through the third quarter. Toon, who finished with eight catches for 100 yards and two scores, was shaken up on that play. Wilson went 16 for 17 for 178 yards.
In just 10 games, Ball has 27 total touchdowns.

MINNEAPOLIS (WKOW) -- The Badgers are bringing home the Paul Bunyan axe from Minnesota once again.
They beat the Gophers 42-13 Saturday afternoon.
Wisconsin's Montee Ball has broken the Big Ten's single-season touchdown record.
The junior running back scored three times in Saturday's game at Minnesota, two rushing and one receiving, giving him 27 touchdowns this year in just 10 games.
Ball bested the previous conference record of 26 total touchdowns in one season. The mark was previously shared by Pete Johnson (Ohio State, 1975), Anthony Thompson (Indiana, 1988) and Ki-Jana Carter (Penn State, 1994).

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Badgers and Gophers represent the longest rivalry in college football -- going back to 1890. Saturday's contest will be the 121st in their storied history.
Most recently this hasn't been much of a contest. The badgers have actually held Paul Bunyan's axe for seven years now. But they say despite their dominance, it doesn't take away from the rivalry.
Nick Toon: "Every year we go out and play and each school is going out there and playing for the axe, so we can't take this year any differently."
Montee Ball: "The records and all that stuff that happened in the past means nothing. We're going into this game 0-0 and we're going to make sure we come out with a W and do what we gotta do."
