MADISON (WKOW) -- Republicans in Dane County showed their support for Governor Scott Walker on the first official day of the recall campaign against him.
The Dane County Young Republicans hosted a "Recall the Recall" event at the Edgewater hotel.
State Rep. Robin Vos (R-Burlington) told supporters that the Republican changes this year have helped the state, especially schools.
Last week, a report showed 3,300 education jobs had been cut this year.
As Vos began speaking, protesters interrupted him in a delay that lasted about five minutes, until they were escorted out.
Republicans have said they'll consider recalling some Democrats in the legislature after the Walker recall campaign ends in two months.
