MADISON (WKOW) -

U.S. team captain, Fred Couples, broke up the team of Tiger and Stricker in Round 2 of the President's Cup, after the team's embarrassing defeat in Round 1.

Wisconsin's Steve Stricker teamed with Matt Kuchar to beat the international team's Y.E. Yang and Robert Allenby in fourball and win a point for the U.S., which now leads 7-5 after two rounds.

Woods and Stricker were undefeated as a team in President's Cup play two years ago, but lost 7 and 6 in Thursday's opening round alternate shot match at Royal Melbourne, tying a record for largest defeat in President's Cup history.

Stricker is not in the pairings announced for Round 3.
