MADISON (WKOW) -- A group of Republicans are calling on the Wisconsin Supreme Court to require recall elections for state legislatures to be conducted in new districts.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports a chief argument in the lawsuit filed challenges the legislative maps should generally be heard in state, not federal courts.

The new district maps aren't supposed to take effect until November of next year.
