
MADISON (AP) -- Justin Schultz had two goals and two assists, and Mark Zengerle added a goal and four assists as Wisconsin beat Mercyhurst 7-2 on Friday night.
Zengerle has scored points in 14 straight games for the Badgers (6-8-1), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Wisconsin is 3-0-0 all-time against Mercyhurst (6-6-1), which is 6-2-1 in its last nine games.
Wisconsin jumped out to a 3-0 lead early in the second period, then led 3-1 after two periods despite putting just 11 shots on goal.
The Lakers had 26 shots on goal compared to 21 for the Badgers.
Mercyhurst's Derek Elliott had a goal and an assist.
Joel Rumpel had 21 saves and Mitch Thompson, who came on with 5:07 left, made three saves for Wisconsin.
Mat Strang and Jake Williams combined for 14 stops for the Lakers.
