GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Packers linebacker Erik Walden was released on a $1,000 signature bond and the Brown County District Attorney is still considering charging the 26 year old.
Erik Walden appeared Monday afternoon in Brown County court after his arrest on Friday night.
Police arrested Walden on suspicion of felony domestic violence with substantial battery.
He's accused of assaulting his girlfriend at their apartment on Scheuring Road in Lawrence, outside Green Bay.
Officers say Walden's girlfriend eventually called police about 6 A.M. after she sought medical treatment at a local hospital.
Brown County District Attorney John Zakowski said he's considering a charge of "disorderly conduct if not battery," but he said more investigation would be needed to determine whether any charge would actually be filed.
Walden started all eleven games so far this season and played Thanksgiving Day against the Detroit Lions. He's accumulated 41 total tackles and three sacks.
His next court date is December 7.
