WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- A new report found one in five Americans lost at least a quarter of their available household income during the recession.
The Economic Security Index reported 20 percent of the nation was economically insecure between 2008 and 2010.
The index looked at three factors to determine insecurity: major economic loss, out-of-pocket medical expenses, and a lack of savings.
