MADISON (WKOW) -- People collecting signatures in order to force a recall election of Governor Scott Walker are more than halfway there.
Organizers of the effort say they've collected 300,000 signatures so far. They need more than 540,000 by January 17.
The recall drive was triggered by Walker's proposal to end collective bargaining rights for most public workers.
Walker has already released two TV ads to counter the effort.
