It's taken nearly an entire season, but wisconsin running back montee ball is finally getting the national attention he deserves..
Ball was a guest on the dan patrick show earlier today. He was also interviewed by Erin Andrews for a special that will air on ESPN's college gameday Saturday morning.
Ball doesn't just deserve to get "some" attention.. He really should be one of the Heisman trophy finalists with the numbers he's put up.
Ball has scored 34 touchdowns -- he's just five behind barry Sanders for the single-season NCAA record.
Both Montee Ball and Russell Wilson are candidates for the Big Ten's offensive player of the year award as well. Ball thinks he should get it. What does russell wilson think?
"I'd definitely vote for Montee. He's impressive and extremely talented. It's been a blessing just to know him. Just the way he goes about his business. He's one of my best friends here and I wish the best for him."
The Big Ten's offensive player of the year award along with defensive player of the year and coach of the year will be announced Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock.
Ball and the badgers take on michigan state in the big ten championship this saturday. We'll have live reports from Indianapolis beginning Friday night at five.
