MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin womens basketball team won its Big Ten/ACC Challenge game 58-50 over Boston College Wednesday night at the Kohl Center. Wisconsin improves to 3-2 all-time in Challenge games. The Lady Badgers get its first home win of the season, improving to 3-5, while Boston College falls to 2-3.
Taylor Wurtz led UW with 19 points and six rebounds. Wurtz has scored in double-digits all eight games this year. Anya Covington scored 13 and Ashley Thomas finished with 10. Lacia Gorman recorded a career-high nine points, going 3-of-5 from 3-point range. UW held BC to just 22 points in the first half, tying the lowest opponent point total this year.
