MADISON (WKOW) -- If you're heading to Pasadena, there are plenty of fan events in conjunction with the Rose Bowl.
The UW Athletic Department says on Saturday, December 31, thousands of Badger fans will gather at the Santa Monica Pier for the "Party at the Pier." It's the official Wisconsin football pep rally.
The rally will include appearances by the Badger football team, head coach Bret Bielema, the UW Spirit Squad, the UW Marching Band and other special guests.
The event begins at 3 p.m. PST.
On Monday, January 2, fans can take part in the Rose Bowl Blast/Huddle, the official pre-game tailgate party of Wisconsin Athletics.
Located on the 11th and 15th fairways of Brookside Golf Course immediately west of the stadium, Rose Bowl Blast Huddle includes brats, chicken sandwiches, Wisconsin cheese, chips, cookies, beer, soda and water. Bloody Mary's will be available for purchase. The tailgate runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. PST.
It will include special appearances by the UW Marching Band, Bucky Badger and the UW Spirit Squad. Live music will be provided by one of LA's best classic rock bands, Bad Penny.
