GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Monday receiver Greg Jennings' knee sprain will keep him out "a couple of weeks" and believes he'll be back in time for the playoffs.
McCarthy said Jennings was in good spirits on Monday.
"It always can be worse. That's why you have further testing," McCarthy said. "We feel fortunate."
McCarthy didn't put a specific timetable on the injury, but said with the initial prognosis of 2-3 weeks, he expects Jennings back in time for the playoffs.
The Packers have clinched a first-round bye in the NFC and will play their first playoff game at home on either Jan. 14 or 15, five full weeks after Jennings' injury.
