MADISON (WKOW) -- The Warhawks are making it look easy.
They came out with a perfect season to win the national title in Virginia Friday night.
A celebration took place Saturday, where the entire team went on top fire trucks downtown to show off their latest trophy to fans.
"I love this feeling, it never gets old," said Levell Coppage, UW Whitewater Football Player, "You can't get used to it you gotta love and cherish it."
The Warhawks toughed out a 13 to 10 win Friday night over Mount Union.
Fans couldn't wait to see their players step off the bus Saturday.
It was especially meaningful for UW Whitewater Player Lou Minett, who is a Whitewater native.
"It means the world, it's great," said Minett.
"The room just exploded it came out to their final couple minutes and it was crazy," said Andrew Manthey, UW Whitewater Freshman.
The team has now won 45 games straight.
"The record tells itself. We go by the motto "No Days Off" and we work hard," said Minett.
They hope keep it alive for many more seasons to come.
