MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WKOW) -- Thousands of Milwaukee-area kids can now say they hold a Guinness World Record for reading.
More than 4,500 children gathered to hear Green Bay Packer Ryan Grant, former Milwaukee Brewer Craig Counsell, Mayor Tom Barrett and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Publisher Betsy Brenner read aloud.
They broke a September 2011 record by kids in Nigeria for "the most children reading together with an adult."
It happened Tuesday at Winter Fest in the Frontier Airlines Center in downtown Milwaukee.
