Packers playoff business boom

Posted:

GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- The promise of at least one playoff game and the hope of another Super Bowl appearance are already putting money into the pockets of Green Bay area businesses.

Hotels have been getting a lot of bookings for the Packers' first playoff game, which isn't even officially set yet.

It'll be either January 14 or 15.

And, with a second playoff game also in Green Bay, it's a proverbial Lambeau leap for profits.

"This is two weekends, potential weekends, that would just be phenomenal revenue and we'd probably carry that for the rest of the year. If the Packers make it to the Super Bowl if they can't make it to Indianapolis and they don't have tickets, they want to be here," says hotel manager Lawry Larson.

That's right, some people have already made hotel reservations in Green Bay for the Super Bowl, wanting to be in Titletown if/when the Packers makes it back-to-back appearances.
