New York (WQOW) - Movie tickets sales were down half a billion dollars this year behind 2010, and now movie executives are faced with the question of how to get people back into theaters.
One theory behind the decline is that there were too many family movies in theaters, which pushed out teens and young adults who typically fill theater seats. Additionally movie goers are now getting the movies they want in new ways; streaming big hits online and at home.
