GREEN BAY (WKOW) --If you're planning on buying a popular Packers jersey, like Aaron Rodgers and Clay Mathews, you may want to do it soon.
A new supplier combined with the Packers popularity could make jerseys scarce over the next three months and then the price may jump.
Retailers say Reebok ordered conservatively going into the season due in part to a switch in vendors come next April. Their plans were also affected by the NFL lockout, which was still in effect when buying decisions were made.
Nike and other new vendors will take over for Reebok in April.
Online retailer Fanatics says its Packers items sales are up 170 percent. Brian Swallow, with Fanatics, says retailers sometimes have to predict sales a year in advance.
The manager of the Jersey Store in Ashwaubenon tells the Green Bay Press-Gazette the cheapest Nike jersey will be $100, up from $75. Authentic jerseys will be $250, a $60 to $75 increase.
