BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (WKOW) -- The Badger football team continues to gear up for the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, but the players still had time to take a break and stuff themselves at one of the finer restaurants in the Los Angeles area Thursday night.
A tough day's work at practice meant the Badgers built up quite an appetite, which was perfect because Thursday night the Badgers took part in the Lawry's Beef Bowl.
Oregon put away 612 pounds of prime rib on Wednesday night, but Wisconsin came away victorious, eating 723 pounds of prime rib. Seventy-one percent of the teams who win the Beef Bowl go on to win the actual Rose Bowl.
Offensive lineman Travis Frederick ate seven prime rib steaks last year and his goal was to eat 12 this year.
