WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- Safety officials are recalling 133,000 high chairs because the restraint buckle can open unexpectedly, increasing a child's risk of falling.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall of the ANTILOP High Chairs on Thursday.
The high chairs were sold exclusively at IKEA stores nationwide from August 2006 through January 2010. The recall involves high chairs sold in red, blue and white.
IKEA has received eight reports of the restraint buckles opening, including three reports of children who received minor injuries from falling from the chair.
Safety officials say if you should immediately stop using the recalled high chairs, and contact IKEA for a free replacement seatbelt.
