MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin state police union is making accusations against local governments.
The union says they are being blackmailed into contributing more of their salary to pensions. And if they refuse, they'll face increases in their health care deductibles.
Even though public safety workers are exempt Governor Scott Walker's collective bargaining law, a state budget clause forbids them from negotiating health care plans.
City officials say it's that clause which evens out the playing field between public safety workers and other public employees.
