WASHINGTON (WKOW) -- New figures, released Thursday morning, show President Barack Obama's campaign has raised more than $68 million combined for his re-election and the Democratic Party during the final three months of 2011.
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina announced the figures in a video to supporters.
Campaign officials had hoped to set the stage for the 2012 campaign by raise at least $60 million combined during the fundraising quarter.
Combined, Obama's campaign and the DNC raised more than $220 million in 2011.
