MADISON (WKOW) -- In just a few days, recall petitioners will have to hand in signatures to the Government Accountability Board.
The group looking to oust Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald is trying to collect nearly 17,000 signatures to trigger a recall election.
Today was the last day of their recall efforts and leaders say they have more than enough, but won't release any numbers.
"It has been an amazing 60 days. Incredible, the best thing is here all these diverse people have come together in a way I never could have imagined," said Lori Compas of the Committee to Recall Scott Fitzgerald.
The signatures for Senator Fitzgerald and Governor Scott Walker are due Tuesday.
