MADISON (WKOW) -- More than 21,000 signatures are being submitted to force a recall election of Republican state Sen. Pam Galloway (R-Wausau).
Recall organizers are submitting the signatures Tuesday. They need at least 15,647 to be valid for an election to be scheduled. They said their current count represents 134 percent of the signatures required to force a recall election.
The Government Accountability Board will begin the process of reviewing those signatures and others submitted on petitions to recall three other Republican senators, Gov. Scott Walker and Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
Democrats need to pick up one seat in the Senate to have the majority.
