MADISON (WKOW) -- The Government Accountability Board has finished scanning all recall petitions targeting four Republican state senators.
The board says it is making progress scanning pages of petitions targeting Gov. Scott Walker. About 63,000 pages remain to be scanned. None of the petitions targeting Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch have been scanned yet.
Board staff and temporary workers are scanning the petitions into a computer. Digital copies will be provided to the public and the targeted office holders. Signatures will also be entered into a database to check for fake and duplicate names.
