South Carolina's Primary day started at a restaurant

SOUTH CAROLINA (WKOW) – The South Carolina's Primary on Saturday started off with politics at a restaurant in Greenville.

Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich both scheduled an event this morning, at the same time and at the same Tommy's Ham House restaurant.

Romney arrived to the restaurant first and got to work right away.  "I'm the only guy whose spent his life in the real world.  I'm going to fight to put America back to work," said Romney.

Gingrich showed up thirty minutes later, but Romney was already gone.

Gingrich has been catching up to Romney for days and is turning a Romney lead into a tight two-man race.  In one national poll, Romney's lead went from 24 points to 10 in just one week.

Authorities said Romney advisors are bracing themselves for a loss tonight, but is already looking ahead to Florida's January 31st Primary and getting an endorsement from former Governor Jeb Bush.

Romney advisors find it exciting to be in a neck and neck race with Speaker Gingrich, who is from a neighboring state.
