Girl Scouts celebrate 100th anniversary at the Capitol

MADISON (WKOW) -- This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the USA.

A state Senate joint resolution has declared 2012 the Year of the Girl and congratulates the Girl Scouts on 100 years.

Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch and several other state legislators formed honorary troop 1912. It recognizes March 1912 -- the year the first Girl Scout troop was formed.
