MADISON (WKOW) -- Gov. Scott Walker collected $1 million from four donors over a one-week period earlier this week, according to his latest campaign finance report.
The report was filed with state on Monday. It covers the period December 11 through January 17. Of the $1 million collected, $250,000 came from conservative Texas financier Bob Perry. The three others who gave Walker $250,000 each were Missouri residents.
Over those five weeks Walker amassed $4.5 million. Since the beginning of last year he has raised $12.1 million.
Walker can collect more that $10,000 per donor because
state law allows those targeted for a recall to raise unlimited funds
until an election is called. The Wisconsin Government Accountability Board is currently
reviewing 1.9 million petition signatures against Walker and five other
Republicans.
